Tinley Park Outdoor Show has Boone & Crockett Measurer

An official measurer for Boone and Crockett will be on hand at the Tinley Park Fishing and Outdoor Show to measure deer mounts that may be eligible for entry into this prestigious record book.  Jim Chelsvig, who is an official scorer for Boone and Crockett, will measure deer mounts on Saturday, February 9th, 2008 only, at the Freddie Bear Sports booth in the main gym.  Hours for measuring on Saturday are from 9 am to 4 pm.  Trophy owners will be able to store their deer mounts at the show while visiting the show.  All mounts must be removed by the end of the day.

Measuring will be done on the spot, pending no backlog and official score sheets will be provided for submission to Boone and Crockett for entry into the record book.
There is no charge to have your deer mount measured at the Tinley Park Fishing and Outdoor Show (beyond the admission price to the show).  If the deer does meet the Boone and Crockett record book standards, the required fees must be submitted along with the score sheet by the owner.  Trophy owners are encouraged to visit the Boone and Crockett web site, http://www.boone-crockett.org/ to obtain information about submissions to Boone and Crockett and take preliminary measurements as described on the site to see if your deer has to potential of meeting record book standards.  This service is being sponsored by Freddie Bear Sports, 17250 S. Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park, IL.

The Tinley Park Fishing and Outdoor Show dates are February 9th & 10h, 2008 from 9am to 5pm.  Boone and Crockett measuring is available on Saturday only till 4 PM.  Admission to the show is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for Seniors, $2.00 for children 7 to 13, and kids 6 and under will get in free.   There is ample free parking for the show, which is held at the Tinley Park High School, 6111 W. 175th Street, just east of Ridgeland, in Tinley Park, Illinois.  To see a map with directions to the show, the seminar schedule and more, visit the Tinley Park Fishing and Outdoors Show web site at www.tinleyparkfishingshow.com.
